Emergent Modular Classrooms Project

High River & Calgary, Alberta

In response to the devastating 2013 Alberta floods, Enzo Developments Inc. was commissioned by Alberta Education and Alberta Infrastructure to design, build, and deliver emergency modular classrooms for displaced students in High River and Calgary.

Within just 112 days, Enzo successfully completed 54 fully functional modular classroom units — totaling over 60,000 square feet — across three school sites:

  • Senator Riley School (High River) – 16 units
  • Notre Dame Collegiate (High River) – 26 units
  • Earl Grey School (Calgary) – 12 units

Originally budgeted at $22 million, Enzo completed the project for $19 million, on time and under budget, returning over 1,000 students to classrooms in record time.

This turnkey project included concept design, engineering, construction, transportation, site installation, and full integration. Coordinating hundreds of tradespeople and subcontractors, Enzo transformed a provincial crisis into a success story — a testament to the company’s efficiency, innovation, and reliability under demanding circumstances.
